Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Frisco, Texas

April 15, 2011 - According to the Dallas Morning News, Dale Carruth, of Little Elm, Texas died yesterday following a serious motorcycle accident. The accident happened around 4:45pm on Thursday, April 14th.

According to police, Mr. Carruth was driving his motorcylce north on FM423 when he collided with a Ford heading southbound. The Ford was turning into a Walmart parking lot, and according to police, the driver of the Ford failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle driver. Accident investigators shut down the highway for about five hours during the investigation.

Mr. Carruth was taken to the Centennial Medical Center in Frisco and pronounced dead.

Even though no criminal charges have been filed in this case, Mr. Carruth's family may have a civil cause of action against the driver of the Ford for failing to yield the right of way when turning across the highway. In cases such as these, it is important to retain experienced motorcycle accident lawyers promptly. A delay in investigating the accident by attorneys knowledgeable about motor vehicle accidents in Texas could result in the loss of valuable information and witnesses.
