Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Frisco, Texas
April 15, 2011 - According to the Dallas Morning News, Dale Carruth, of
Little Elm, Texas died yesterday following a serious motorcycle accident.
The accident happened around 4:45pm on Thursday, April 14th.
According to police, Mr. Carruth was driving his motorcylce north on FM423
when he collided with a Ford heading southbound. The Ford was turning
into a Walmart parking lot, and according to police, the driver of the
Ford failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle driver. Accident
investigators shut down the highway for about five hours during the investigation.
Mr. Carruth was taken to the Centennial Medical Center in Frisco and pronounced dead.
Even though no criminal charges have been filed in this case, Mr. Carruth's
family may have a civil cause of action against the driver of the Ford
for failing to yield the right of way when turning across the highway.
